Our Story

Craft beer begins with grain on a farm, and at our craft brewery in Nova Scotia, our grain fields are conveniently located next to Horton Ridge. These fields have been farmed organically for over 30 years, supporting our commitment to organic malt production. Most of our grain comes from Jeremy Pletz, an organic farmer at Hidden Creek in Saskatchewan, ensuring that we provide a unique beer experience with every brew.

Before grain can be used to create the unique beer experience at our craft brewery in Nova Scotia, it must undergo the crucial process of malting. We utilize the age-old floor malting technique, a rare practice in today's malting industry, which enhances our organic malt production. You can even view our organic malt floor while enjoying your beer. Our artisanal floor malting methods produce highly flavorful malts that elevate your brewing experience.
